Easy Lazy Summer Days are gone

Those wonderful summer days are slowly winding down.  School is back in session for our children.  Let us not forget that a good solid breakfast is ALWAYS a great start for the rest of the day.  Studies show that children are more attentive in class, grasp new information quickly and overall feel better throughout the day.  And, Mommies, the days are about to get busy again with after school activities, programs and events.  To name a few, swimming, volleyball, soccer, football, tennis, cheerleading, chess club, and the list is endless as we well know. So, let us remember to prepare the healthy breakfast every morning.  Here are some easy quick healthy breakfast ideas:

1.  Toast with peanut butter and banana, and a glass of juice - MONDAY

2.  Small cup of Oatmeal topped with cinnamon, honey and milk with a glass of juice - TUESDAY

3.  Small cup of grits topped with slice of cheddar cheese and turkey sausage with a glass of juice - WEDNESDAY

4.  Small cup Cheerios with milk and honey - THURSDAY

5.  My nieces' love Morning Cake (corn, bran, or blueberry muffin) with butter and jelly, a small sliced apple, and glass of milk - FRIDAY

And, for our high schoolers,  a bagel with cream cheese with a cup of tea with honey and lemon.

Our college age children, a cup of Joe in the morning usually works :-) with a piece of fruit.

So, there you have it.  The first week of simple, healthy breakfast samples for our children to start their first week of school.   I know it requires getting up a little earlier but it is surely worth the extra time.

More prep ideas to come to help our children become the best people in this global society.

Until then, Be Blessed and continue to be a Blessing to others,

Gay
